And although I knew that ex-pat vacation destinations would not be for me, my research indicated that there were plenty of beach areas that would be just as lovely. Somehow, I managed to miss the caveat about sex-tourism in all three of those places. On my strolls around the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo, I did notice the requisite old foreign geezers with their young local babes.
Many countries have become synonymous with sex tourism, whether legal or illegal, and are travel destinations purely for that industry. Each of the following countries have gorgeous and culturally-interesting cities that lure more PG-minded tourists, but they also all have very visible and widespread prostitution that attract visitors of another kind. If you're thinking of traveling to any of the following countries, it's good to know which cities have red-light districts before you walk into them.
