A deal has been reached to save a popular West Norfolk event which had been facing closure. Officials behind the Stradsett Vintage Rally indicated last autumn that it would be scrapped after more than 40 years, because of rising costs. The rally, which has traditionally attracts thousands of visitors to the estate, has been a major fundraiser for good causes throughout its 41 year history.

Supporters of a historic West Norfolk church think they could be in for a record year following their main fundraising event. Dozens of vehicles took part in the annual vintage tractor road run to and from Manor Farm in Grimston on Sunday morning. The run was followed by a country fayre which featured a range of craft stalls and demonstrations, displays of steam and traction engines and farm machinery, an owl display and live music.
